Embattled Ford-Kenya party le ader Moses Wetangula has heaved a sigh of relief after the registrar of political parties Anne Nderitu recalled a gazette notice that she had earlier on issued declaring the member of parliament for Kanduyi constituency Wafula Wamunyinyi as the new Ford-Kenya party leader. This comes after the Bungoma senator had withdrawn his petition before the Political Parties and Dispute Tribunal. Bungoma senator Moses Masika Wetangula has been formerly ousted as Ford-Kenya party leader and replaced by Kanduyi member of parliament Athanas Wafula Wamunyinyi. This is according to a gazette notice dated June 8, that was issued by the registrar of political parties Ms. Ann Nderitu. The notice also pointed out that the party's national organizing secretary Chris Mandu Mandu had been replaced by Josephine Maungu. Estranged Ford- Kenya Party leader Moses Wetangula has moved to court to stop his former allies from capturing the party. Impeached Kirinyaga Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru could be the latest victim to flop before the Senate. This is after a decision was made earlier this week to have Waiguru's fate determined by a team of 11 senators and not a committee of the whole house as earlier proposed. 45 senators voted in favor of the 11 member committee against 14 who were opposed to it arguing that the plenary way was the only solution to deliver justice to the people of Kirinyaga county. The rift between Deputy President William Ruto and his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta continued to widen when the Deputy President opened a parallel Jubilee party office located along Makindu road, off Riara road in Nairobi's Kilimani area.
